Second Grade performs Town Hall

A few of the students in the second grade read a play from their "Storytown" Reader.  Mrs. Comiskey asked them all some questions.

What was the name of your play?

All:  Town Hall

Why did you do a performance of this story?

Alyssa:  So you can learn about what happens at Town Hall.

What subject did you learn this in?

Neil:  Language Arts

What was something special you learned from this story?

James:  That there is not only a mayor in charge of a town, but there are other leaders.

How did you like performing in front of people?

Isababella:  It was fun because we can show how we can read.  It is different than reading to ourselves because people are looking at you while you are reading.

What is the Mayor's job?

Melanie:  To serve the community

Why do you think they choose to make a park?

Mateo:  Because they needed a place to go with families and friends.

The second graders not only showed off their reading skills, but also how much they had learned about community government.
